Transport and mobility planning: impact study for the Bio-Medical Campus
Scope of the assignment
We provided technical support for the design of micro and macro road networks, access points, traffic flows and car parks. In addition, various innovative mobility solutions developed as part of the Campus Bio-Medico PRG variant were analysed. The assignment also included drafting the Mobility Impact Study, complete with all the technical elements required for the approval process of the Implementation Plan.
Data collection and mobility analysis
Activities included data collection and the study of mobility at both the macroscopic and microscopic scales. In addition, preliminary designs have been prepared for the campus access system and internal mobility. The proposed solutions for traffic and parking have been organised in phases to ensure the gradual implementation of the measures.
Interdisciplinary coordination
During the development of the project, we coordinated the information produced by the other professionals involved. This has allowed for methodological consistency and integration within the General Urban Implementation Plan. Furthermore, as those responsible for mobility and transport activities, we ensured coordination with the SEA documents and with contributions relating to sustainability, energy, legal assistance and communication.
Technical support and consultation with stakeholders
Technical support was provided through dedicated meetings and meetings with Campus System stakeholders, including the Policlinico Foundation and the Campus Bio-Medico University. Opinions, in-depth analyses and technical presentations were also produced for the benefit of the client and the relevant authorities. This process accompanied the entire administrative process until approval by the internal Services Conference.
